Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of new secure fence lines on an existing live project in Rochester. This freelance role is offered on a PAYE Umbrella basis only, in line with client requirements, and will run for a minimum of 5 months with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out for fencing works and associated civil engineering tasks.
Obtaining and managing daily permits to dig/permits to work.
Carrying out CAT scanning and marking existing services prior to excavation.
Maintaining accurate as-built records, surveys, and site diaries.
Ensuring works are delivered in line with safety standards, programme, and quality expectations.
Coordinating with site management, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Requirements
Demonstrable experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
Competence with setting out and surveying equipment (GPS, Total Station, AutoCAD).
Proven knowledge of safe excavation practices, service avoidance, and permit systems.
Experience producing and maintaining as-built records.
Valid CSCS card (essential).
SSSTS/SMSTS certification (advantageous).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
