We’re looking for Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Scotland Construction business in Glasgow

Location: Glasgow, Paisley

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be a key part of our Regional Commercial team, initially aligned with a high profile heritage project in West of Scotland. Working closely with the project delivery and commercial team you will be a core part of the financial success of projects.

Your day to day will include:

• Managing applications for payment from sub contractors
• Preparation of applications for payment to clients.
• Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
• Lead on the management of claims and disputes to achieve suitable resolution

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you:

• Have excellent contractual knowledge covering JCT SBCC and NEC contract conditions.
• Have prior experience of working within Main Contracting organisations on high value projects
• Are highly skilled in dealing with client reps, sub contractors and internal stakeholders
• Can show experience in managing claims and dispute resolution successfully
• Are able to mentor and oversee more junior commercial staff aiding their development.
