Westwood Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a Quantity Surveyor for our client to join their London office and oversee a variety of development projects across residential, commercial, retail and leisure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Take day-to-day commercial responsibility for projects
Manage contractor procurement under trade contracts, place client direct orders for selected materials, and oversee financial performance.
Review and enhance operational standards and procedures.
Attend various contractor and client meetings on site, and chair commercial meetings with contractors and the client.
Provide commercial services and advice across other projects.
Build strong relationships with key industry contacts to develop new business opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Ideally you are a RICS qualified Quantity Surveyor with at least five years of post-qualification experience, preferably from a consultancy background
A committed team player with strong attention to detail in handling commercial challenges
Knowledge of procurement methods and specific experience in Construction Management is essential
