Quantity Surveyor – Aluminium Facades

Our client specialises in glazing solutions across a variety of sectors including retail, leisure, commercial, industrial, and large scale residential. Due to continued growth of the business, they are looking to bring a Quantity Surveyor into their small surveying team.

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all project costs, from initial calculation to final figures. You will seek to minimise project costs and enhance value for money while ensuring high standards and quality.

Quantity Surveyor – Aluminium Facades

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including detailed bills of quantities
• Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects, ensuring budgetary efficiency
• Assist in defining client requirements and performing comprehensive feasibility studies
• Manage risks and value, implementing effective cost control measures
• Identify, analyse, and address commercial risks, developing proactive responses
• Prepare and evaluate costings for tenders, ensuring competitive and accurate bids
• Allocate work efficiently to subcontractors, ensuring high-quality execution
• Provide expert advice on contractual claims
• Analyse project outcomes and compile detailed progress reports for stakeholders
• Value completed work accurately, overseeing the arrangement of payments
• Understand and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Quantity Surveyor – Aluminium Facades

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Excellent numerical and analytic skills
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as Microsoft Office & Excel
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field
