Our client is a leading residential property developer with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality housing and apartment projects across Dublin. With a strong pipeline of developments and a commitment to excellence, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
Job Description:
As an Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of residential construction projects. Working closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders, you will ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and in line with the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts.
Perform cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other documentation.
Assess and manage contractor claims, variations, and payments.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Work closely with the design and project management teams to deliver accurate and timely reports.
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best value.
Ensure all financial reporting is accurate and up-to-date.
Assist in the preparation of project final accounts.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in residential property development.
Proven experience working on housing or apartment projects is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, law, and regulations.
Proficiency in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full driving license and willingness to travel between sites in North County Dublin.
