Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established and experienced renewable energy company with a strong track record of success. They manage every stage of their projects in-house, from development and design to construction and operation, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout. As their portfolio continues to expand, they are seeking a Project Manager to support pre-construction on commercial solar sites nationwide.

The strategically important Project Manager role comes with a salary of 42,000- 45,000, plus discretionary bonus, pension, and additional benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role

Reporting to the Head of Project Development you will:

• Assist projects across their full lifecycle, from initial development to pre-construction, supporting the sales team with proposals and client engagement.
• Identify and evaluate potential sites for solar projects, considering infrastructure, environmental impact, legal and regulatory requirements, and financial feasibility.
• Support the project development process, including land acquisition, permits, stakeholder engagement, and project completion.
• Track project milestones, adjust schedules as needed, and proactively solve problems to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support legal negotiations and operational strategies, working with lawyers to drive projects to legal conclusion.
• Maintain client relationships, keeping them updated with project developments.
• Attend prospective client teams to support sales presentations (backing the sales team, not leading).

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Previous project management experience, ideally in solar or renewable energy.
• Understanding of permitting, land acquisition, and legal requirements.
• Engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
