Job Title: Operations Manager (Fire protection bias) Location: Warrington and Newcastle Type: Permanent Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum plus package (car allowance, private medical insurance, corporate discounts, pension plan)
A leading principal contractor is seeking to appoint an Operations Manager (with a bias for Fire Protection) to join their team permanently and take lead in day-to-day management of site and personnel. You will be tasked with promoting the new business to existing clients, allocating and managing resources, acting as the main head within the Northern Office for their Fire Protection Division.
This office-based role will require travel to the Newcastle office splitting your time equally with Warrington and Newcastle. As such, previous experience within Passive Fire Protection is essential to undertake your duty to full effect.
Responsibilities: • Manage day-to-day activities of site operatives, ensuring safety standards. • Promote business to existing clients and maintain positive client relationships. • Develop and implement project delivery strategies. • Allocate resources efficiently, manage quality control, and ensure compliance with QA procedures. • Oversee fire protection works, ordering materials, and managing waste. • Maintain records, attend meetings, and represent the company professionally.
What we require from you: • 3 years experience in Passive Fire Protection Industry. essential • Previous management experience with leadership qualities preferably with a Tier 1 main contractor. • Understanding and implementation of technical details. • Experience in commercial procedures and estimating (welcomed but not essential). • Passionate and experienced in influencing and building relationships with key stakeholders.
