Management Accountant

Based in the High Wycombe office, our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their successful team on a permanent basis, being based in the office 5 days a week.

This job would suit an ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified accountant with experience in a similar role, to be responsible for producing financial controls in accordance with group policies and procedures.

This fast-growing well known business is dedicated to ensuring long-term, environmentally responsible development within the South East.

The successful individual will have experience working in a similar management accountant role, dealing with month end reporting ideally within a larger business or Plc environment, and working to tight timescales. They will have strong communication skills both written and verbal, to be able to liaise across the business. Good IT skills including Excel is essential. Previous use of COINS would be highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to produce Monthly Management Accounts and reports across the Group.
• Taking ownership of key areas of the P&L.
• Maintaining the accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
• Supporting reconciliations including inventory, accruals, prepayments and fixed asset registers for the Group.
• Review monthly Group VAT returns.
• Review monthly Group CIS returns.
• Support in processing house sales transactions and general ledger journals on the COINS IT system.
• Understanding and investigating variances between reported and budgeted results and communicating these internally as appropriate.
• Support the Group Financial Controller with annual audit preparations and periodic reporting to investors.
• Training and developing more junior team members of the team.
• Consider existing processes and seek to suggest improvements to controls and procedures.
• Ad hoc analysis as required by the Senior Finance team and wider business.
