Resourcing Group are recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor in Exeter.

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to assist in the delivery of a Total FM focused contract with proven ability of delivering FM services within a challenging environment.

Duties/Key Responsibilities:
Lead a maintenance team tasked with maintaining and keeping in good repair, the campus buildings electrical & mechanical systems along with all associated component parts to include:

• Building fabric repairs
• Minor electrical work
• Minor plumbing work
• Minor carpentry work
• Air handling system maintenance
• Completing all regular safety checks
• Supervising contractors to ensure they are following safe systems of work
• Completing all preventative planned maintenance checks:
• Fire door checks
• Emergency light testing
• Fire extinguisher & fire blanket checks
• Communal lighting checks
• Undertaking building audits

Person Specification:

• Experience of managing a multi-function engineering team
• Extensive experience and knowledge of building services and facilities engineering
• Experience of managing external contractors
• Experience in using and issuing work permits and safe systems of work
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
• Qualified to C&G 2391 and 18th edition
• Gas qualifications would be advantageous
• Plumbing skills would be advantageous
• Resourceful and self-motivated
• Good communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• PC Literate for all Microsoft Office applications
