Our client, a renowned organisation within the water sector, is actively seeking an experienced Lead Miner/Shaft Sinker for a long-term contract beginning on 22/07/2024. This role presents a unique opportunity to work on an exciting project involving the construction of two segmental shafts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing shaft sinking operations
• Overseeing the installation of segmental shafts
• Ensuring all mining activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards
• Coordinating with the project team to ensure timely project delivery
• Maintaining detailed records of mining operations and progress
• Implementing effective problem-solving strategies on-site
• Providing guidance and support to the site team
• Ensuring proper use and maintenance of mining equipment

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in shaft sinking and mining operations
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of water sector regulations and industry standards
• Blue collar skills related to water projects
• Proficiency in using mining and shaft sinking equipment
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a challenging and dynamic environment
• Relevant construction site cards and references

Contract Details:

• Long-term contract starting on 22/07/2024
• Accommodation can be arranged for the right applicant
