Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm)
Salary: 17.50 per hour

Job Overview:
Our client who provide housing services is seeking two skilled Handypersons to join their Contingency Operations team at their Wethersfield site. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and various practical tasks to ensure the facility remains in top condition. You will work under the direction of the Site Manager, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs:

• Perform general facilities maintenance, including both internal and external painting and decorating.
• Handle minor plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks, unblocking sinks, and toilets.
• Conduct PAT testing, clear drains, and manage yard and garden upkeep.
• Install fixtures such as curtains, blinds, shelves, and electrical fittings.
• Assemble flat-pack furniture, repair or change locks, install window restrictors, and household appliances.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with your line manager and team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Participate in meetings and support team members as needed, including providing on-the-job training.
• Maintain up-to-date records in line with company policies.

Professional Development:

• Monitor your workload, progress, and development in the role.
• Engage in core learning and development programs and pursue relevant training as per your Personal Development Plan.

Compliance & Security:

• Ensure that all personal data handled is securely maintained and only disclosed under authorised conditions.
• Stay informed about contract legislation and adhere to all professional standards and responsibilities.

Adaptability & Support:

• Provide support for other company projects as required and perform any additional duties within your scope of responsibility.
