Job title: Estimator
Location: Preston

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join an established construction company who have been operating for over 60 years. They are respected throughout the industry, take pride in the quality of the projects they deliver and due to their continued success and growth they are now looking for an Estimator to join their team in Preston.

They work across a variety of sectors including Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Heritage & Leisure with projects valued anywhere between 500k – 15m, both new build and refurbishment.

The role – Estimator

As an Estimator you will be an integral part of the team working across a variety of projects in the Lancashire region valued between 500k – 15m. You will report into the Estimating Manager and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Review and assess tender documentation and identify risk for upcoming projects
• Put together Estimates for upcoming projects
• Liaise with the internal and external teams, supply chain and site team
• Prepare tender documentation for adjudication and prepare the submissions
• Deliver handover tender information for the commercial team

Required experience as an Estimator?

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Estimating
• Prior main contracting experience is required
• Previous experience tendering for both new build and refurbishment projects
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Good understanding of UK construction methods
