Role Overview
As a Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in our clients team, providing expert technical advice and support on a wide range of building projects. You will work closely with their clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice on building construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Contract Administration: Prepare and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
• Defect Analysis: Identify and assess building defects, recommending appropriate remedial actions.
• Building Surveys: Conduct various types of building surveys, including condition surveys, dilapidation reports, and party wall surveys.
• Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Promote sustainable and energy-efficient building practices, incorporating environmental considerations into project design and implementation.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building surveying, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge of building construction, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and building surveying-specific tools.
