About the Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Branch Assistant to join our busy depot in Staines on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a varied role that combines customer service, administration, sales support, and warehouse duties.

As the first point of contact for customers, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the branch. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and be willing to support all areas of branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service both in branch, over the telephone, and via email.
• Process sales and hire transactions accurately using internal systems and till operations.
• Manage hire administration, including booking equipment, processing off-hires, and handling returns.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders efficiently and accurately.
• Replenish stock and maintain high standards of housekeeping within the branch.
• Assist with goods-in processes, stock checks, and deliveries.
• Offer product and hire advice to customers and identify suitable solutions to their requirements.
• Complete general administrative duties, including order processing, data entry, and updating company systems.
• Work closely with colleagues to achieve branch operational and sales objectives.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, trade counter, warehouse, hire desk, or similar environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and internal systems.
• The ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy branch environment.
• A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to support different areas of the business.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
