Orwell Consulting are recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading interior fit out firm based just outside of lavenham, Suffolk. The company offers bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects. The firm is well establsihed, fast growing and looking for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Duties of a Quantity Surveyor:
Build and maintain strong relationships with Clients, Inhouse Teams and Subcontractors.
Cost control, management of projects and internal cost reporting.
Submission of monthly valuations and produce cashflow forecasts.
Prepare and manage Subcontractor and Supplier accounts.
About you:
Excellent numeracy skills, IT skills with competencies in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience within a similar role and a construction related qualification
Practical knowledge of quantity surveying procedures and commercial awareness
Willing to undertake additional training as and where required.
Understand the implications of decisions on the financial objectives and value of the company.
The ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure.
