Job Description:

Thorn Baker are recruiting for a candidate to join a growing business who pride themselves in delivering high quality homes across the private and social housing sector. This business can offer progression to QS within 12-16 months due to their exciting pipeline of work across the Midlands.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents
• Conduct cost analysis for new build housing projects
• Monitor and control costs throughout the project life-cycle
• Prepare and submit valuations
• Assist in negotiating and awarding contracts

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a housing developer

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of new build housing and house building processes
• Proficiency with COINS software
• Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Packages

Working Conditions:

Office-based role with occasional site visits required
